Psalm 119:72-73
"Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver. You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands."

Lord, thank You for another day to meditate on Your Word. Help me to understand Your TRUTH! I long to know YOU better. Your Word is my comfort in affliction; it gives me life. I will not turn aside from Your Word as I remember Your judgements of old. I will use Your Word to guide and direct my everyday steps. Help me today to apply Your principles to my daily life and make Your paths my paths, to make Your priorities, my priorities.
In Jesus Name I pray...AMEN(Let It Be So)

Where do I most want to succeed? Whose approval do I seek? Am I working to please God or to succeed by this world's standards? Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 that "no one can serve two masters." If success in God's eyes is to be achieved we must "seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matt 6:33). The psalmist knew that obeying God's Word yielded a greater treasure than all the gold and silver in the world. Proverbs 2:4-5 teaches that if we seek God's wisdom as silver and search for it as hidden treasures, we will find understanding. Rather than wait for wisdom, we are to pursue it through God's Word. We are to study as if we are searching for valuable buried treasure. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth" (2 Tim 2:15). I must realize God's Word is infinitely more valuable than any reward this world has to offer. My goal must be to succeed in the ways that count for eternity. Gold and Silver are valuable resources, but the Word of God is worth far more!-Danny Lovett
