NEW MUSIC: @DRAKE-THE MOTION

Drake has been all in the media the last few days. First his interview with GQ magazine dropped, where he made statements about his relationship with Chris Brown. I guess it's no coincidence that GQ recently added Chris Brown to their worst dressed list. With all the hoopla going on about the statements Drake made in the interview, he decides to like a picture of him and Rihanna on Instagram, then drop 4 new joints...in which one is definitely "inspired" by the Bajan Beauty. The song is called: The Motion.
On Chris Brown drama:"I hear he has everything he could want now. I don't want my name to be synonymous with that guy's name. I really don't. I wish we could sit down just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that's not going to happen. I'm not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I'm not going to back down. If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly...Like, it gets really dark." (via GQ)
Why am I even speaking on this as if their is more to the story? People it doesn't matter to me who dates who, but I will say that when you are seeking marketing strategy, and how to make a bad situation work in your favor, look no further than Drake, heck or Rihanna. This song has been trending on twitter all day, and it's what the social media, and blogs are conversing about. Now Rihanna is on the other side of the world, but every move she makes on social media does not go unrecognized.
So when you take a moment to understand that these two will probably sell anything that has their name on it, you will have realized how they take advantage of the media, in the same way the media uses them to eat.
Every artist need to learn how to use the media for their advantage. Cause one day they will walk out of their hotel, and they will no longer need a bodyguard...because people will have moved on....take advantage of the opportunity in it's fullness.

NEW VIDEO: @CHRISBROWN FEAT. AALIYAH-DON'T THINK THEY KNOW
Let me start by saying, I applaud the message! The task of trying to end gang violence is a daunting one, and I'm happy when anyone takes a moment not only to notice that somehting needs to be done but also lends a hand to get somehtnign done. However, this song did not match the video at all to me. It does not take away from the single at all because hearing Aaliyah on this track is just superb, but if the visual and the track are miles away from each other. No where in the lyrics of this song does have me thinking of rivals reconciling. Now I said that to say this...I believe that the treatment for the video changed...then later he spoke on twitter saying that the video was a tribute to Team Breezy.(during the time he was making of the video)..and now it's become about unity. Like I said I love the message being portrayed..but I don't think it was the original concept..at least I hope it wasn't because this song does not SCREAM UNITY of all people. I honestly think it was his version of "Nobody's Business"...*shrugs*..
I think it's just me though (I don't mind saying it), I hate "concept" videos...like when I hear a song..I want to see visually what the lyrics are portraying. I mean think about Drake featuring Rihanna, Take Care...that video with bulls, birds, etc in it did not scream anything about Taking Care of someone..hehehe...or Jay Z's On To The Next One..smh. Ya'll get my point. Heck what happened to video like Jon B-The Don't Know...you know exactly what the video was portraying..you didn't have to take a class on symbolism..haha. Anyway, Chris still will get my $1.29 for the song, but I refuse to believe that when he was writing his lyrics to this song..that he had the Bloods & Crips in mind. Where is his management..this is crazy?
Don’t let them tell you any different
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
I owe it all to you
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
And as much as I messed up, always give me your best love
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve you
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
They gon’ talk about it (gon’ talk about it)
Gon’ try to change your mind about it
Gon’ tell you things you don’t wanna hear
Cause we good. (Don’t worry ’bout it)
So when they talk about (they talk about it)
Just let ‘em know we already got it
Just tell ‘em that we gon’ work at it, we good (Don’t worry ’bout it)
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
[Chris Brown]
Don’t listen to (How could they know)
What people say (How could they know)
They don’t know about (How could they know)
‘Bout you and me (How could they know)
At my best you love me
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
Even though I act my worse
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
And I know that it’s different, feels like we’re best friends
We connected
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
What did I do to deserve you
They don’t know about us, they don’t know about it
They gon’ talk about it (gon’ talk about it)
Gon’ try to change your mind about it
Gon’ tell you things you don’t wanna hear
Cause we good. (Don’t worry ’bout it)
So when they talk about (they talk about it)
Just let ‘em know we already got it
Just tell ‘em that we gon’ work at it, we good (Don’t worry ’bout it)
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
[Chris Brown]
Don’t listen to (How could they know)
What people say (How could they know)
They don’t know about (How could they know)
‘Bout you and me (How could they know)
How could they know x5
Thank you for the autographs
And the tears over the years
You still found me, you didn’t doubt me
I think you want some more
I do more than sing
I’m older now
Actin’ now
Cause I got my own movie now
After all the awards
That they gave me
You still found me
You didn’t play me, you didn’t doubt me
Think you want some more
I truly believe that if it wasn’t all for you
I don’t know what I would do
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
I don’t think they know the truth
Say they saw
I don’t think they know, how could they know
[Chris Brown]

WORD OF THE DAY: DON'T DIE WITH YOUR GIFTS IN YOU
Proverbs 18:16 "A man's gifts makes room for him and brings before great men."
"The wealthiest places on earth are the cemeteries. In them lies treasures not manifested."-Margo/Joel Osteen
Good Evening,
The other day while on the phone with one of very best friends, I took a minute to encourage, lift her up, and motivate her to make sure she never give up hope! To ensure that she would continually be focused on the plan (hope) that God has for her life. See I know that when it seems as if it is taking forever to see something manifest, we can easily be discouraged, or dissuaded in what God has spoken. Well as I was speaking something came out of my mouth that I KNOW wasn't from me (haha I had never even thought on that level). I said, "If you die with that hope(plan) still in you, you won't even be able to REST IN PEACE." When I said it, I had to pause for a moment, and my friend did the same...and immediately we both knew that was revelation from above right there.
The scripture tells us that though the flesh dies, the spirit lives forever. It's almost as if there is no way to escape the word of God for your life. He is so dedicated to seeing us become who He destined us to be that He bound Himself by His word saying, "it shall not return to Him void (producing any effect, useless), but it shall accomplish that which I please and PURPOSE, and it shall prosper (break out, come mightily, go over, be profitable) in the thing for which I sent it." For those who read my blog consistently yall know my mantra: "It would be a shame to have lived this life and never become who God destined you to be." It's as if you were never born. So you see why the owner who gave the servants talents (in Matthew 25) was so upset with the servant who "buried" his talent and never put it to use? The gifts/talents that the Father has given us is without repentance (regret), and He intends for us to take them, and grow to higher levels with them. For instance, if you can sing, nurture that gift, learn all about it (grow it). Take vocal lessons to strengthen the gift to get all you can out of it. Sing all the time (multiply the gift). Never take it for granted by misusing it, or abusing (such as smoking, or never exercising it). The gift will make room for you and bring you before great men (people in influential positions, or high authority)...think of the likes of Jennifer Hudson or John Legend, or the likes of President Obama or Oprah Winfrey.
Don't die with the gift still in you! It was given to you to bless someone's life whether it's one person or millions, you are responsible for the gift/talent given to you. Now bless God today (by using your gift).
So the question is: When you die will you rest in peace?

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY-PROVERBS 3:3-8
Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones. (Proverbs 3:3-8 AMP)

Check out the latest episode of JD's youtube show, Living The Life, as Monica tells B Cox to stop doing her job in the booth, and she lays it down to the fellas of what being married to a southern woman is like. In my opinion it's just what being with a woman rooted and grounded in God, will do for ya. Explain it to them Monica.

[SPORTS] @TIMTEBOW SIGNS WITH THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
It's safe to say Bill Belichick doesn't hate Tim Tebow after all.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Monday the New England Patriots are signing Tebow after all. Just in time for Tuesday's mandatory minicamp.
Way back in April, the Patriots were atop our list of potential Tebow landing spots because of Belichick's appreciation of versatile players and his love of all things University of Florida. But this news still comes as a surprise because of the timing.
Yahoo! Sports reported last month that there was "no chance" the Patriots would sign him. Belichick came out publicly and lambasted the accuracy for that report last week.
So why would Belichick sign Tebow?
Because he can.It really might not get more complicated than that. Former Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels remains on the Patriots staff and is obviously a big believer in Tebow. There is virtually no risk to the signing because Tebow's contract is unlikely to have any guarantees. The Patriots love to kick the tires on veterans, and this is nothing more than that.
Signing Tebow doesn't mean that he's a lock to make the roster. Rapoport reported that Tebow will play quarterback in New England, but it's hard to imagine him passing Ryan Mallett on the depth chart. Third stringer Mike Kafka was released on Monday.
Tebow, like a lot of No. 3 quarterbacks in the league, has to prove his worthiness in limited practice snaps. Unlike most No. 3 quarterbacks in the league, he could potentially help on special teams and the occasional trick play.
